In this tiny café (white walls with overflowing shelves, graphic tomette tile floors, small fairy lights, a mere three tables) where the terrace doubles the number of seats, Angelle Boucher and Daniel Warburton (Honor) whip up Australian brekkies, served all day long until teatime. It all looks so tantalizing: smoked salmon with creamy mushrooms and tarragon, a poached egg and dukkah on homemade sourdough focaccia; a crisp yet spongy crumpet topped with avocado and herb butter, with an optional halloumi add-on. For an extra dose of comfort food, there’s toasted banana bread with coffee butter, or cookies of the day. // T.V.X.
FEELING THIRSTY? For your hydration needs, there’s filter shot coffee (€4) or flat whites (€5), both highly recommendable. Then later in the day, indulge in an Original Pale Ale (€6 for 375 ml) or the Best Extra Stout (€6 for 375 ml) from the Coopers Brewery in Adelaide.
PRICE: Plates and salads €12-13, crumpets €6-13, desserts €2.5 -8.
