The fashionable Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré with its Elysée-vibes has been hiding a sort of Anglo-Saxon enclave at the back of a courtyard since 2015. Run by two Australian baristas, Daniel Warburton and Angelle Boucher, what should you expect? Latte art, coffees that proudly display their origins (Colombia, Ethiopia…) and fresh juices for washing down slices of cake and other chic brunch options. Tested and approved the Saturday we went: hearty homemade crumpets topped with scrambled eggs and tomato chutney, followed by some irresistible toasted banana bread covered with espresso butter… // V.Z.

FEELING THIRSTY? Espresso €3, flat whites €5, teas €4 to €5.50, freshly squeezed orange juice €4.50.

PRICE: Cakes €2.50 to €4, crumpets €5.50 to €9.50, wraps €7.50.
