THE STORY: Located at the edge of the Odéon and Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhoods, the Hôtel Saint-André des Arts building has seen a lot of people pass through it – and beautiful people at that! Artists, actors and writers have flocked to the street of the same name, where Charles Baudelaire, Isidore Isou and E.E. Cummings all lived. Now run by the Hôtels Paris Rive Gauche group, the artsy space has been given a makeover without neglecting its roots, and boasts a lovely bohemian and vintage sense of decor, dreamt up by interior designer Chloé Nègre. Inside its historic walls, there are 30 bedrooms adorned with seventies tones (camel, orange, mustard yellow, khaki green, tawny brown…), dressed with furniture inspired by the same decade (blown glass Oluce Atollo light fixtures, leather headboards…) and equipped with elegant bathrooms. On the ground floor, you’ll find armchairs upholstered in Lelièvre fabric mingling with walnut burl tables and a black marble bar, where you can grab a drink or something to nibble on. This former artist’s home is a true work of art! Double rooms starting at €102 a night.
