NUMBER OF ROOMS: 27 rooms including 2 suites
CLOSED ANNUALLY: Open all year round

THE STORY: After the Hôtel du Temps (Montholon square), Yoan Marciano is back with a “train station hotel” near the Gare du Nord. Once again entrusted to Alix Thomsen and Laura Léonard, the décor was inspired by the numerous travels of a Belgian family, whose photos from the 1970s are hung on the walls throughout the hotel. Luminous and extremely comfortable (wonderful queen-sized beds), the rooms are interspersed with little details that evoke Africa (Companie du Sénégal et de l’Afrique de l’Ouest bedspreads, barstools and mirrors imported from Dakar), the English countryside (floral headboards and madras cotton voile curtains from Pierre Frey) or the seaside (paneled white walls). Also worth noting: there’s a cocktail bar on the ground floor, and a small menu (croque monsieurs, avocado toast) put together by Salomé Vidal – co-creator of the Balls restaurants. Double rooms starting at €120 a night.

TOILETRIES: Le Baigneur soap, Aesop shampoo and shower gel.
INTERNET: Wifi (free)
BREAKFAST: A standard breakfast for €12 with tea or coffee, viennoiseries, tartines, jams and freshly-squeezed orange juice. Or for €18, you get all that along with organic granola, yogurt, fresh fruit and a soft-boiled egg.
MINI-BAR: No. The idea is to get you meeting people at the bar downstairs.
LITTLE LUXURY: Taking a bath under the glass ceiling in the 603 suite, while stargazing.
